boyd's replaced the flawed stock quickly and without question.

boyd's received my flawed stock on thursday 3/16 and shipped a replacement on monday 3/20.i received the replacement today wed.

3/22 and it is flawless in fit and finish. in my case i would have to say that boyd's customer service could not have done better. the stock i initially received should have never left the shop and should have been scraped or sold as a second.

they need to improve their quality control.having said all that, i will buy from boyd's in the future and recommend them to others as they produce a very nice stock at a very good price point.

i decided to return the stock to boyds and emailed them with a picture on mon. 3/13.

they returned my email on 3/14 with an apology and instructions to return the stock for a replacement.

the stock is on it's way to south dakota and i will post further developments as they occur.

i recently ordered 2 gun stocks from boyd's.they both arrived within 1 1/2 weeks.

the first was perfect in both fit and finish. the second was a perfect fit but there is a 3x5 inch very conspicuous blond spot toward the butt, a real eyesore. whoever packed this stock had to have seen the error but shipped it anyway.

reading through these complaints, it seems boyd's has a policy of ship everything, as in "get the revenue" and if the customer doesn't like it they can deal with an uncaring and unresponsive customer service department.i'm not sure if i want to deal with that or just learn to love this ugly duckling.

it's for a 10/22 and i have not returned it.yet...

little comfort knowing i'm not the only one.

i think it's outrageous.

would they display this stock at a gun show?

would they install their own rifle in it?would they give it to their grandson as a gift?

i don't think so.

Was this stock for a Marlin 795?Did you return it?

If you did, I think I have your stock.I'm in the process of returning one with a blemish in the same are.
