Stock did not fit correctly!!! And NO help at ALL!!

Al I can say is WOW and Never again. Purchased a stock (2 piece forehand and the butt stock) to fit Browning Bar.

I got it in a timely manner. But when I tried to attached the Butt stock it would snug up, it was wobbly, so being in a rush with Fire-arm season around the corner, I wanted fixed then, I tried grinding where it wasn't fitting. Once I got it to fit correctly the bolt would not come all the way back to eject or put a bullet in the chamber. So I called Boyds customer service just to ask if they had any other issues with these and if they knew of any tricks to solve the problem.

The first the thing the young lady said is just send it back. I said I cant because I have grinded on it. She stated well you have voided the warranty there's nothing we can do. I stated I knew that I just wanted to know if they of any solution the problem.

Being I got mine and didn't fit I figured someone else with a BAR would have had same problem. Of course it has never been an issue and no one knew what to do. So I asked to speak to supervisor, oh course there wasn't one available so she took my name number and have one call me back. That was on 10/13/2015, haven't heard a word.

Also my Rifles been at the GunSmith for about 2 weeks. Thanks for nothing

Quality control and customer service are absent at Boyd's

First I ordered an AR-15 stock set at a discounted price from ordering the pieces individually, but after the 14 business day waiting period for processing the order was canceled by Boyd's claiming that the product was no longer available. I accepted that I was being "bait and switched" and unfortunately decided to order the pieces individually at an inflated price from the set. This order processed and shipped as stated by Boyd's, except the grip was not the one I ordered. I went through the process to return the grip the very next day, got a shipping label and return number for processing and shipped it back. It has now been a month since Boyd's received the returned product, I have called twice (each two weeks apart) and been given the runaround, was told both times that the work order would be given to a manager for processing since for some reason they could not find it in the computer. I am beyond infuriated at this point and considering going to the BBB. With a little quality control and a simple visual inspection they could have caught the error before shipping and this whole situation and complaint could have been avoided!

Horrible customer service representatives, total lack of communication, won't answer my calls or emails. Women there are not only rude but condescending and aloof. They make gorgious stocks but apparently until now will not stand behind them when they will not fit properly. Sent a gift for my son back over 3 months ago and patiently waited 2 of them. Now im just pissed and want my money back. The rude girls who answer the phones don't even give a *** who you are or care about their customers. The owner won't even address his customers, because the customer service girls are stonewalling. VERY DISAPPOINTED Mr. Boyd. Please respond, because I'm not the only one who's concerned. We are customers who put money in your pocket for a product, and you're paying women who are running them off.

I was finally contacted by email and phone.

The young lady said that I had to give her information on the stock and the return number...blah blah blah...in other words, they lost my order and no one knew where my return went. Someone was also, "no longer working there". After sending and resending several copies of previous conversation and of the copied correspondences, I had to RESEND it for at least the fifth time.

Once they had the information, I had to send continual emails to get a response.

It was more than a month and a half before it was sent out for delivery.

IN OTHER WORDS...7 months to get their mistake corrected, to find out they may have had a thief/liar working for them, I had to prove it (thank gawd I stored all my correspondences), and no thank you for your business or we're sorry for the confusion.

Still haven't heard from ANYONE.

They got a decent product, but I may spend more money else where and have a product someone will stand by and not be so dang rude to me. RUDE PEOPLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I can't say the customer service reps were rude, but as far as never getting any calls returned and generally just being ignored, I totally agree. Really wish there was a way to reach someone higher in the organization, their customer service department needs to be completely gutted and replaced by people who understand the meaning of the term.

I have left 2 voice mails, sent one email, and actually talked with two different people. I have still not got an answer to my questions. I have been promised I would be called back both times and they dont. Boyd's customer servie is shameful at best. They care nothing about helping the people that keep them in business. I build custom rifles and with this last experience I seriously doubt I will ever order another stock from them even if I loose the sale. As far as I am concerned they make and inferior product which will most of the time require additional inletting and or bedding / pilliaring to compete with other stocks on the market. Bottom line they have got to big and to busy to care.

So i called these people to cover all the bases....girl takes my order and tells me it will be 3 weeks till i get my stock. so i placed the order... first off i got no email receipt confirming the order. so i didn't really know if it had been placed or not. so one week later i called about not getting a receipt, so they emailed me one, and told me my stock would be ready to ship by the end of that week, or the beginning of the next. so i called again at the end of that week, and they told me it would be the beginning or middle of the next week...sooo when that time rolled around, and i still got no receipt, i called yet again, only to find out, that the production floor was shut down at the time that i placed the order.... no one said anything about that when i placed order....or any other time i called! so now, the girl starts flooding me with excuses about how their shipping is behind, and blah blah blah....i don't think they have a clue what is going on at their place of employment....

i ordered a Boyds thumb hole stock from a woman weeks ago. she was nice and asked if i wanted to up-grade to a 1" recoil pad, first thing how long for this stock n if i went for a 1" pad how long would it take to be at my house.

she said 5-10 working days so i gave her my visa # but weeks later, calls not returned, no e-mails returned. wtf? still no stock ! worse co.

i've dealt with period. even Kel-Tec which has terrible Q.C. at least lies to me n e-mails me n calls n answers the phone. no tracking #.

i bought this stock not because of price, but liked the way it looks.

it's 2015 it's not the way to do business.

I never made it far enough to order a gun stock from this company. Through customer service, I asked several questions wanting more info about a specific stock. Here is my question that finally made me decide to buy elsewhere. "Hello! I am wanting to order the stock mentioned above for my stock Ruger 10-22. I plan on adding a fluted bull barrel (.920”) as well. The description of this stock states that is comes with brass mounting escutcheon. Could you explain where this would be found on the stock itself." Here is the response. "Hello, If you are unsure where your escutcheons are or how to find them or what they are, please consult a gunsmith for assistance." Thank You, Shauna This kind of short, non descriptive response was very typical of this woman. It is annoying when someone can't simply answer a question stated in an email. Apparently they don't try very hard to sell the products they have.

Worst Customer Service

Prior to selecting a stock, Gal in customer service said she don't shoot, & couldn't help me. Ordered a drop-in Gun Stock.

When it arrived, there was no instructions. I called and asked her to email the instructions. She said she couldn't do t until the next day. She told me there was a video on there website.

Unable to find it, I called back. She disputed it until she couldn't find it. she said there was one some were on YouTube, but couldn't tell me how to find it. She refused to let me talk to someone else who could help.

Never got the email instructions, unable to find the YouTube. Their Customer service the worst. Their rep is very Rude, condescending, & uncaring. She wont let you talk to anyone else!

One can only assume the company knows about her deficiencies, and cares less.

I was a bad experience. I would not recommend them to anyone...

Hands are tied

Well I placed an order at night after there 8:00am-4:30pm call time so I did it online, and well I will admit I messed up and chose the wrong action type. When I called the next day at 8:00am to change my order they told me that this wasn't allowed because my order had already been processed.

How can something be processed when there isn't anybody there to work and take care of customers?

So basically I am left with a stock that won't fit my rifle and the best advice the customer service rep could tell me is to sell it on Craigslist. So now I am stuck up *** creek with a gun stock that I can use for a paddle but not to shoot with.

Should have checked this site first before ordering from Boyd's. Ordered a new walnut stock for my Remington 870, three tries & a month and a half later they still can't get it right, customer service is dismal at best, very flakey.

It took 30 minutes on hold to get reach a representative who couldn't answer my simple questions about customizing a stock. I'm not trying to be sexist, but if you don't know what a magazine is you shouldn't be selling gun stocks. I did enough research online that I knew what I wanted if I couldn't get it customized, so I ordered a normal stock for a CZ527. It took phonetically spelling every part of my name and address 2 times for her to get it... it's not complicated Henry... 45 minutes later she told me I would have my order in 5-7 business days. I have called back numerous times and get stuck with the same horrible customer service that keeps telling me a longer time frame. Save your time and frustration and buy someplace else...I am opening a case with my credit card company today.

Boyds makes a so so stock, but acceptable. Over all I have been pleased with their product.

I agree that their customer service is the worst I've have ever seen.

Do not bother e-mailing them or leaving a message, because neither will be returned. If you are lucky enough to actually get to speak with someone it will be after a 30 wait before you are cut off.

I placed a previous order on line and it was was perfect. I wanted to place another order. I found the product easily on their web site but could not log on to my account on the website. The notes on the site referenced previous password issues and directed you to submit a "Forgot Password" request. I have sent multiple requests over a three day period with no replies. I called the phone number listed for sales multiple times on Friday 8/14 and Monday 8/17. I left messages and have not been called back. I sent e-mails on Friday and Monday and have no replies. Summary: Really good products Really bad customer service

Boyds has, by far, the worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. If you get the product you ordered to begin with, consider yourself fortunate that you will not have to deal with customer no-service.

More woes with Boyd's

Got three stocks shipped very quickly. Stock for Savage 25 was supposed to have a middle screw enclosed-it wasn't. Called and got the usual phone web and wait and then had to leave message AGAIN. Last time they never called back after two attempts by me. Again, very lousy customer service. One of the stocks was of horrible quality and it's going back, despite the usurious charges for returns. Third stock for Ruger American will need some major dremel time for front block to sit right so magazine inserts. Will have to be desperate to buy again from this firm. I advise you to be prepared for issues on everything and be tossed aside by so-called customer "service".

It ALWAYS takes us at least ONE HOUR to order anything from Boyd's. They do not answer their phone, they DO NOT RETURN your call if you leave a message. They hang up on you when you call and a person finally answers. We cannot get a password to order online - as they DO NOT TAKE ORDERS without one and will not return your e-mails. They will not pick up the phone to talk to you when you call. The answering service keep running FOREVER and then ends up asking you to leave a message - ONLY THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU BACK!!!!
